Welcome to the website of The Perchfishers, the only specialist group for the specimen perch angler
Who Are We?
The Perchfishers is a relatively small, friendly group of around 100 perch anglers and specimen hunters. Our aim is to further the knowledge of the perch as a species, including the methods and locations for its capture. The Perchfishers are successful in fishing for and landing many big perch, including some of the largest specimens recorded in the UK. We do this by the sharing of knowledge and by fishing in a true spirit of sportsmanship and friendship with all other members of The Perchfishers.

A Few Words From Our President
“My first proper fish was a small perch hauled rather unceremoniously from the Great Ouse in Bedford around 1968. That fish set my heart racing, a feeling I’ve never forgotten and to this day, every year, I try to catch a bigger perch, just to get that feeling again. So, what does that make me? I guess I am an enthusiastic perchfisher and what I didn’t realise until some 20 years ago was that there’s a group of anglers out there who share the same passion. They are members of The Perchfishers ….. and you can be too! Anyone considering membership will find a very welcoming group, open-minded and ready to share information and fishing with other members. With members spanning the UK you’ll be among some hugely successful specimen hunters with enormous fish of over 5lb to their names. But equally important, you’ll find other members happy catching perch of any size on baits and mini lures. Whatever your leaning, I promise you’ll find yourself in a group of the most generous and ego-less anglers you’ll find. So, if you are an passionate perchfisher and even better, can contribute something to the group, then join. You won’t regret it!
Tight lines, Paul
